Ledger balance

Is there any way to make Ledger Balance display by default (without having to click on "Balance" in lower right of Register)?

I use the Ledger Balance daily to cross-check my MD balance with my bank balance and I imagine others do the same thing. It is, for me, FAR more useful data than the default "Balance" display.

Is there any way to change default balance display to Ledger Balance?

If not, could you consider this a feature request?

   I'm a fellow user.

   You can set the balance shown in the sidebar to various types see the General tab under the menu item File --> Preferences.

   Unfortunately is does not give the option for Ledger balance

   Good idea. The (same/all) balances shown by clicking on the bottom of the ledger should be available for the sidebar balance preference.
