Default category when doing a reconcile
Hi,
I've just moved from Quicken and I really like your product. Only 1 thing I would suggest:
When I'm doing a reconcile of my pocket money, it would be convenient if a transaction could be created automatically against a specified category for the unbalanced amount. Ex.:
- Last time I reconcile, I had $50 in my wallet.
- I've spent $25 (that I remember...)
- Presently I have $5 left in my wallet.
When doing the reconcile, I won't ballance by $20. It would be nice that $20 would go directly in a category XYZ so my wallet would now balance.
Thanks

You have probably realized that MD already does remember the categories of previously entered transactions and then suggests those for similar entries as you enter, even for splits.
Personally, I gave up trying to record most individual cash transactions, except for deposits in my cash account, and just do a general "cash purchases to date" entry when I get some new cash (making the difference ~ equal what is in my wallet).
