I have bonds held in my accounts, and they are paying interest. But the transaction categories don't include interest as a category. Yes, I realize that I can call it a "Div", but it sure would be nice if I could enter it with a "Int" category.

    I'm a fellow user.

I believe the field you are referring to is the Action field. This field determines what other fields are active and how the transaction is to be processed. The category is a separate field and can be anything you like. In Moneydance the Action does not determine the category, whereas in some other programs it does force the category.

I did make a suggestion some time ago that it would be nice, from a user perspective, to have sone more aliases for Div, the way MiscInc works is exactly the same for example.
