Tags should not be case-sensitive
I think tags should not be case-sensitive, especially given how easy it is for me to accidentally create new tags without realizing it.
In other words, if I have transactions with tag "MyTag" and then I enter another transaction typing tag "mytag" then I think it should be recognized as the same thing, "MyTag".

I agree. Add my vote.
I'd like the ability to limit tags to those that already exist, perhaps as
a preferences option. It would be fine to need to turn the preference off
in order to create a new tag, and then turn it back on again. Others could
keep the existing arrangement by not checking that preference.

Thanks for the suggestion for improving Moneydance! I've filed a ticket in our ticketing system with your suggestion, so the developers will be looking into it.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!

Thanks, I also agree with this suggestion from tgilbert666: "I'd like the ability to limit tags to those that already exist, perhaps as a preferences option." My list of tags includes strange items that I must have entered by mistake, never intended to be a tag.
