This discussion:
seems to have been closed un-actioned (presumably by that pesky robot).

Could it be reopened as an enhancement request please? And add my voice (and that of other interested parties) to the enhancement?

Cheers,

tgilbert666tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/482092172020-04-01T23:49:10Z2020-04-01T23:49:10Zopen two moneydance files at the same time

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

I re-opened the discussion as per your request.

However, please notice that opening two Moneydance data files at the same time would be highly problematic. Both instances of the running Moneydance program would be accessing the same configuration files at the same time. This could lead to system instability and potentially crash the program.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

Presumably by some strange co-incidence of timing I raised the same matter again, with a new post, only a short time before you did ... you now should be able to see that post & response (now that I've changed it from Private to Public).

It doesn't really tell you anything more in terms of a solution (Maddy has already repeated the cause of the problem in her reply to you - once again, thanks again for the prompt response to my post Maddy), but you may be interested in my reason for wishing such concurrent open file functionality was available.

EdwardRG
