You should have an input page that allows you to type or choose the ledger account for each line individually. This way when you are putting in a week's worth of receipts, you don't have to move from tab to tab.

The page would look just like any one of your Account pages with an additional column on the far left that lets you type/choose the account you wish to use. Upon entry, of course, the transaction moves to the main Account tab.

Gary Johnsontag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484423212020-07-03T21:40:37Z2020-07-03T21:40:37ZInput Page

I'm a fellow user.

This sounds like something that would be best implemented as an extension. That would require someone that can program in Java to do it but is something a knowledgable user could do.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484423212020-08-10T16:19:46Z2020-08-10T16:19:46ZInput Page

I might not be getting the suggestion right, but it seems that MD already works this way, i.e. you click on an account in the left sidebar and, except for Investments, that account's register is displayed.

Maybe clicking an Investment should work the same way.

avp2
