I would like to see it locked, and all windows on it scrollable, so +1
Cheers...

tonyttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484656322020-07-16T05:39:34Z2020-07-16T05:41:00ZCalendar

Serious question - for understanding - there is summary, there is reminders. Reminders has the calendar. Summary, best I can tell, can also have the same reminder calendar there.

What is the scrolling issue? Yes, I get that if you put the reminders calendar on the summary page, it probably scrolls off, just as everything does.

I'm trying to support your thoughts, but I just don't really understand what the issue is here. Maybe a more detailed explanation of what the problem is?

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484656322020-07-16T08:00:06Z2020-07-16T11:48:15ZCalendar

Hi
If you have a large number of due reminders and, or, memorised transactions, they fill up the screen, forcing the calendar off the bottom of the screen, or vice vera. If each window - calendar, due transactions, memorised reports, etc were a fixed size and scrollable the main screen summary window would stay the same size and each sub window could be scrolled.
Hope that makes sense?
Cheers...
This is when viewing the summary page, not the reminders page

tonyttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484656322020-07-16T20:36:58Z2020-07-16T20:36:58ZCalendar

Ok, I think I see. You aren't talking about the summary calendar itself (which truncates to two transactions per day), you are talking about you add like 3 different items (reminders, calendar, etc), of which the reminders/due dates part can grow or shrink, and that pushes the calendar off the "main part of the summary page" and YOU have to scroll to see everything.

I have almost 50 transactions that "hit" right around now, and my reminders list is now larger than the entire summary screen, so I definitely have to scroll to see the entire list, and IF I had the reminder calendar on summary (I don't, I just have that in Reminders), it could be "pushed off" the main page - and indeed I wouldn't even see it at all (one reason I don't even have the reminder calendar on the summary page)

Did I understand correctly?

If so, I personally like how it is, but could understand you wanting a "control panel" as it were.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484656322020-07-16T21:24:02Z2020-07-16T21:24:03ZCalendar

What I want is a standard calendar for recording transactions, like in the following picture. Get rid of the scrolling nonsense.

This works so much better. Thanks

Michael Palistag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484656322020-07-16T22:02:48Z2020-07-16T22:07:49ZCalendar

Obviously, I still don't understand.

Here I am entering a transaction, and this calendar seems very similar to yours.

And yes, I get that the big reminder calendar can scroll off the summary screen, but if what I described earlier isn't accurate, I still don't get where the "problem" is. since the (summary) reminder calendar only shows two entries per date, it doesn't seem that useful on the summary page

I am not trying to be obtuse, I'm really trying to grasp your problem, and you didn't seem to think my explanation was accurate...

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484656322020-07-16T22:10:47Z2020-07-16T22:10:47ZCalendar

I believe the poster may be talking about the mobile application.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484656322020-07-16T22:17:15Z2020-07-16T22:17:15ZCalendar

Could a MD support person please delete the previous picture? I accidentally posted the unredacted picture. I am talking about using the app on the mobile platforms of my iPhone or iPad. I really only use the computer app when I am reconciling.

Hi Michael

I think the Moneydance mobile app is moving in the direction you desire.

I am running the Android Moneydance 2020 Beta build 73 of the mobile app.

When you open the new transaction screen it opens with the current date set. See first screen shot.
Click on the date drop down a calendar opens, see second screen shot.

Is this what your were hoping for?

Screen shots from Android Phone.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484656322020-07-17T13:12:30Z2020-07-17T13:12:30ZCalendar

Yes, that would be so much better and easier. I hope that is the direction they are taking Moneydance for iPad and iPhone.

Thanks
