This would separate the Description from the Memo and make both easier to read.</p>
<p>The current background highlight scheme doesn't do an adequate enough job of separating the two fields visually.</p>

<p>You don’t have to be stuck with the current background scheme. Have you looked into the option in Custom Themes –> Customize, so as to make the “Background of Register Alternating rows” a different say bolder color. In 2 line mode this would make your memos more obvious.</p>
<p>Personally, I thing alternating bold lines would look a mess, but alternating colors can be tailored to the individual.</p>
