Add total to Expenses widget on the Summary page
Hello,
Found a couple of old suggestions about this, but total is not there. :)
Just wanted to add my vote for it.

Seems like it would be easy, as when you drill down, it totals the drill down category at the top near the bar.
So, to do it at the top level doesn't seem like a big deal.
I'd like it.

Totalling the sum of the bars would be meaningless, as there can only ever be a maximum of 10 items in the list. The individual Categories are already totalled.
It might work if you are only displaying say 1 month & you had 10 or less Categories in the list, but would not work if you wanted to show say the last 365 days, as so many items would be missing.

I still would like to see the total expenses so far in the month (or year) on the summary page, without going through a report.
If there are too many categories, the top n can be charted with different colors and remaining lumped together in one color and labeled "Others" or something like that.

Been noticing this a few days now. I definitely think it is worth having the total listed - instead of only the breakdown. I imagine this will be relatively simple to add/change - but will certainly be a huge advantage.
I also think a good place to list the total would be along side the heading itself ( in this case, along side the words "Expenses: This month" - and this will ensure no additional rows are taken to include this.

.. it would also be a lot more readable if the values are aligned to the right - with dots connecting them to the category names.

I feel it would be even better if the widget could include an income vs expenses option available - with totals and drill down capabilities. I often find these widgets more useful ( and more referred to ) than the graphs and reports option
