Hi John

My phone is Android and the date I get when entering a transaction is always todays date, so cant help you with that one.
On your second issue, on your desktop, if you click TOOLS – ACCOUNTS and double click a account you want to hide on your phone, make sure the Inactive box is ticked.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490393042021-02-16T21:35:16Z2021-02-16T21:35:16ZMobile App annoyances

It could be, and I need to try this out, that the date problem is due to iOS keeping the app in memory. I wish Apple gave me the option to toggle that ability as it preloads my device with apps Imrarely or never use.

I have force closed the MD app and need to see if that changes it’s behavior. It will take me several days to see if that is true.

As for the tip on ‘inactive’, I had forgotten about that checkbox. That worked just fine And solved my problem with the accounts in the sidebar.

Thanks, as always.

jonhtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490393042021-02-19T22:20:19Z2021-02-19T22:20:19ZMobile App annoyances

This is to confirm that since Apple loads all apps into memory on a mobile device, the date of a transaction is not updated when it is entered. You must remember to check the date when entering transactions. If you spend the extra effort to close the app, then it will have the correct date when a transaction is entered.

How much code does IK need to retrieve the current date from the device and input that rather than simply remembering the date of the last transaction? Maybe this would create other problems but I hope Sean will consider this suggestion.

jonh
