1. All Delete All button on splits
2. With MS Money, you first entered the total amount and then pressed splits. It would then show you a running decremented total until you got to the end where hopefully your last entry made the balance go to 0.00. Moneydance is not like this. If I have repeats like say Target, when I enter a new transaction for Target, it automatically assumes I want splits (bad assumption) and then it presents me with the list of all the splits I entered from previous transaction for Target. See #1 above. Additionally, let me set the total amount of transaction BEFORE you force me or I elect to go into the splits. Then do the running balance that would decrement each time I enter another split.

    Hi Joe,

I continue to use MS Money and I do prefer Money's method of handling splits.

Having said that, try this in Moneydance..

For your next Target transaction, enter the total amount of the transaction first.
Then enter Target in the 'Description' field.
You can then split the transaction if you wish.
The total amount that you entered previously will be assigned to the first split.
If you change that amount, the next split will reflect the remainder.
(e.g. if the total amount is 100 and you change the first split to 25, the next split will automatically enter 75 and so on)

I meant on #1 to say Add “Delete All” button on splits.

    Warm Regards,

    Joe
