Be nice to see "Check for Updates" and if found, download and apply (with confirmation prompts answered).

    I'm a fellow user.

There is an extension you can install that will check for updates and advise if any are available.

I think TIK wants more user involvement in downloading and installing updates. Not all updates are intended for global installation and some updates need to be paid for.

    Hi Joe,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

You can download the 'Moneydance Updater' from Moneydance by navigating to Extensions --> Manage Extensions, so you'll be notified when a new version is available. This applies to your version as it was purchased directly from our website.
Also, you can subscribe to our blog on this page, where we'll post about new versions and include details of these new releases.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

    Hi JB,

From the Moneydance menu bar, go to Extensions > Manage Extensions.

From the resulting window, you can install the Moneydance Updater extension.

There IS a link to the extensions here but manually installing extensions is only necessary in certain circumstances.
    e.g. circumventing Apples sandboxing requirements.
