Inconsistent UI Issues - Accounts v Category Drop Downs - Make them both type ahead fields

There are a number of inconsistencies in how the UI deals with Accounts and Categories (different type fo Account).

If you go to a bank account and select a number of transactions to Batch Edit and change the Categories then you get a nice type ahead field where you can filter the list.

If you go to an expense category and select a number of transactions to Batch Edit and change the Account then you will get a horrible fixed drop down list that does not allow type acceleration (i.e. type a letter and go to the first entry that has that letter) nor can you do in field filtering.

This is annoying and makes everything much more painful than it needs to be when you are migrating and you find that the source data model does not fit the target data model very well.

+1000 votes if it helps !

This is lacking in several areas - such as:
    - Reminders,
    - Category edits ( as you mention )
    - Account list on summary page - left and middle columns
    - Reports and Memorised reports,
    - and others

The odd thing is -- the feature exists and is active in transactions. When you create a transaction, typing up a few letters drills down to the actual name or category or account etc. But why is this restricted to just the transaction window beats me !

Eg. Reminder transactions. these are pre-assigned to a specific account. But every so often, you need to make a payment from a different account. Imagine going through the never ending list of accounts and cards covering multiple banks and countries getting all cross eyed figuring out which one - just to make a simple account change to one transaction.

This feature request needs to span to all other areas. You really need to start using moneydance for ALL your finances and adapt it to suit your needs like there is no other option ( eg making acounts and multiple sub accounts and categories etc ) to understand the need for these and several other features that have been requested for years.

+1 from me (or 1,000 if that is the vote currency!) :-)

I'd add tags to the "and others"t, AND the ability (preference option) to constrain tags to only those previously/deliberately created rather than being forced to accept the addition of mis-speellings and tzypos and cAse iSsues to the tag list.

haha.. love the 'currency' - now we need someone to bite :D

Been trying to build some more 'notes' - started with reports that need
changes.. but did not want to be seen like I'm hijacking the place with
ultra long request for changes and/or features. Will continue to submit if
there is interest from Moneydance. Waiting on atleast some of the requests
    being applied.
