Add a Reminder/s Floating Window
I think a floating window of reminders, that can be viewed when the online payment window is open, would really be nice. I can not say how many times I have gone back and forth between the home reminders and "online payments" to schedule a payment or clear its reminder. This would not include the reminder calendar view, just a list as in the home page list.

Sorry 'Ability to add/remove columns' is a no for now... You can remove by shrinking the column anyway. To add is very difficult as many of the reminder fields are calculated..

OK, regarding the escape key. You can now configure this (ability to escape to exit the main extension screen) from the options menu. It will be common to all my smaller apps. Please download the latest from my site and give it a try (and report back)..

installed and working. Resizing the window upsets the size on the search/filter window etc.

PS - I just uploaded 'Categories Super Window: Clones MD Menu> Tools>Categories and adds a Quick Search box/capability' (replaces the olde(er) 'categories_super_window' extension).

I am inclined to suggest/request - please build a similar app as follows. Will be useful for people who have numerous accounts etc. Details would be:
- An app / window with a search/filter field ( to searches through all accounts )
- Show/Lists all the accounts ( bank accounts, Credit cards, assets, liabillities, investment accounts ) - along with branches/sub-accounts with indents, groups etc. Expandable & collapsable by user. Basically an exact replica of account items on the dashboard - to be used with above search/filter.
- search and double-click on resulting item would open the account in moneydance.
I'd like to ( one way or the other ) have this app permanently visible with moneydance.
- Ideally, the should have ability to replace the left-hand-side-static moneydance-window/pane in its entirety ( would need to add BUDGET and GRAPHS groups also - but permit headers and parent/sub-accounts to be expandable/collapsible). If this is possible, then a seperate window (like future-reminders ) is not needed -- as this would be visible at all times. If this happens, trust me - users will grasp this with both hands !
- If not possible to replace the left-hand-side static window/pane, then yes, we need to have a seperate floating window like future-reminders. It would be useful to add this to the dashboard/summary-page also.

It’s called account categories mega search window in extensions menu once installed
Right click to open an account/cat
(Please delete categories super window first)

Awesome. I usually create accounts and categories in some sort of sequence combining different items.. but over the years.. they might have gone haywire a bit. Thus far, including them into sub-groups was my only option to manage with some sanity.
This search feature - is a revelation to what is hidden in the list. Easy to search and find - delete or alter items as needed.
Prefer the search bar at the top ( probably because that is where it is mostly found I suppose ). Search at the bottom would also work - no big deal
Helps quite a bit. Please do get these approved - that red bar warning is an eyesore and annoying...

Just click the Ignore button on the red banner to clear the message..
I can't move the search to the top for technical reasons...

OK, I have managed to enable the Escape key on all the popup MD windows - except one... Unfortunately, it's probably the one you want most... I have asked the IK developer about this. Latest version has been uploaded to my site...

account categories mega search window already does most of what you want, as a floating window. The other bits, eg replace left pane and dashboard view are too complicated and I expect you would be the only user. So as such, sorry no can do. Tell me what the existing extension doesn’t do that you need?

FYI - I fixed the search field box in list_future_reminders (width/resizing). Also the developer has 'fixed' the code for the one pop up window I am calling to allow me to set the escape key on that too.. Hopefully that will be out in build 4070. Latest code has been uploaded...

Wowzer, we just got that fix in time within hours of the 4070 preview release... So, all the popup reminder windows that you can call from list_future_reminders (with 4070) now allow escape to exit the popup.... Give it a whirl..... 😊

Hey.. thats great news. A 4070 preview coming thru as well.. nice.. although.. will be keen to see previews become stable releases much faster. The moneydance download file should reflect version and preview/stable etc.. but thats another matter I guess.
Back to your development. That is great news. Will surely get into it asap.
You asked what the future reminders dont do. Future reminders only lists 'future REMINDERS'.
What is needed is:
- a listing of all accounts along with main group headers ( accounts / cards / assets etc ) and also expandable/ collapsable parent and sub-groups of each account
- display their balances ( balance / current balance etc ).
- include a search/filter
- .. and here is the key: double clicking ( or pressing enter ) on an account should jump/open moneydance to that account page
- make them all keyboard friendly for the enthusiasts on a keyboard and mouse-independent ( mouse slows things down )
Understandably, these are not part of future reminders. I dont know how many moneydance users are out there and spanning how many years.. but anyone remotely close to me (12+ years ) would be handicapped without these. That is why it is needed as part of moneydance itself ( and the left side pane ) - but your seperate window app is alternate medicine that works for sure.
- should I add more ?
- Someone even suggested ( to moneydance ) a user-created group-header which I think is a very good idea but needs more thought on how to apply.
- I had suggested ( to moneydance ) a FAVOURITES group option on the left pane - such that few accounts could be re-isted here also. Wud be nice
Id hope Sean is looking at all this. Between the two of you.. you guys can make this software the absolute best in the industry. But there are lots of other areas to improve.. lets get them all one at a time...

Have you actually tried the accounts_categories_seach_mega_window extension? It does a lot of what you are asking for… yes in a new, separate window (to list_future_reminders). What does this extension not do?
Sorry, I will not be creating a new extension/window that combines all you are after. This would virtually be a new application. It would also be replacing much of what MD should be giving you. I also think it would be uniquely used by you, not many people.

search does not work - until the relevant groups are expanded in full.
cannot jump straight to the account - only option appears to be right-click and open-in-new-window
you cannot continue with new app - understandable.

Thanks - will do. Just re-installed the latest to test. If I may list initial difficulties I found:
1/ There is no option to expand/collapse multiple items at the same time. Perhaps add the option to select groups and expand/collapse them all in one go ( right click menu or other alternative )
2/ Search still does not find items when their parent groups are collapsed. When the list is massive - it is often important to collapse groups and to have visibility of the parent groups only.
3/ Double click opens the account-edit window. Instead, I feel it would be good if a docuble-click would take the user straight into the particular moneydance account window itself ( not a new window ) - and a right click menu provide option to edit the account ( a bit like the LIST FUTURE REMINDERS ).
PS. That LIST FUTURE REMINDERS is working out very well

I can't really enhance the COA mega search window.. I am reusing std internal MD code... What I have done is the limit of changes, without rewriting the whole thing from scratch - sorry..... (PS - I know IK are going to change this window anyway)..
