MD Version 2022.2

When using the search within an account's register, upon completion of the search, the register is brought to the top of the register's list of transactions regardless of the sort order. Can this be adjusted to return you back to the record you were focused on before the search was started?

    Hi,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

The Register can be sorted and filtered as outlined in this article of the Knowledge Base. It is my understanding that Moneydance will sort the register according to the filter you have chosen after running a search.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Thank you for the reply. The issue is not with the sort order but rather where the completion of the search leaves you when it completes. If I am at the bottom of the list of transactions, I have the sort set to "By Date (ASC)", and complete a search by selecting the "X" next to the search field, my view of the transactions is shifted from the bottom to the top of the list. This action happens regardless of the sort setting. I have transactions dating back to 2007. It is a lengthy scroll back to the bottom of the list.

    Thank you.

    Hi dws62sms,

    Try this...

After X-ing out of the 'Search' field, highlight any transaction in the register.
Tap the END key on your keyboard.

    Hi dws62sms,

An even easier option is to twice click the 'Split Register' icon. (To the right of the 'New Transaction' button) in the upper right-hand corner of the register.
