I am missing something - if not I seems it would be an easy add to do so.

Martintag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/498318222022-01-30T20:40:02Z2022-01-30T20:40:02ZLoans

I'm a fellow user.

There is no automated way of managing peer-to-peer lending in Moneydance.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/498318222022-01-30T21:46:48Z2022-01-30T21:46:48ZLoans

Hello,

I think most people handle this by making an asset account for the person you made the loan to, and tracking the loan there. But there's not an automated way to do this with an interest rate, automatic setup of reminders, etc.

There's an existing suggestion ticket for this function. I've attached it to this thread, so you'll be notified if our developers decide to add this feature.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

I would just set up a loan normally so you could easily see calculate the principal and interest over time. You could probably set up special categories for the interest and loan name principle as needed so you could easily exclude it from reports. Gives you a good way to see what principle is left and what has been paid so you can provide a statement to your loaner.

mhoggie
