Account Balance Report by Month (Continued)

Does anybody know if this extension (developed by ggruenstein) was ever published?
Will this functionality be implemented any time soon?
Is there any work around to generate an Account balance report by month, instead of having to generate separated reports for every month?

I'm a fellow user.
There is no extension in the Company hosted extensions that provides this functionality that I can see, I do not recall such an extension being released by a user, my memory is not perfect thought.
I believe there is a viable approach though.
Select the Asset Allocation report and in the parameters screen take the actions:
1.Select the time period, As a test I did last year
2. Select to Group by Month
3: On the Select: select show: By Individual This should give a list of the accounts/categories you have in the box below the line.
4. Select the accounts you want in the box
5. Then click on OK
There will be extra information like percentage of each account of the total, but I think it should have the information you are after in one report.

I have also been looking for this report ever since moving across from MS Money in 2015 (where it was a standard report). Asset Allocation is an ok workaround but needs a lot of manipulation in Excel to make it look ok. Why is not possible to extend the Account Balances report to include a Group by Year/Month option? It is a big gap which is hard to understand the rationale for in an otherwise good product.
