As a new user of MoneyDance that has just recently jumped in completely with the product, I want to say that I have been loving it so far! The synchronization features, mobile companion app, and the intuitive functionality has really made a huge difference coming from GnuCash where one had to think more deeply about the methods used to record financial accounts.

There are however a few things I found myself wishing were possible that I thought I would share with you in the spirit of continuous improvement!

Mobile Companion app:
- Ability to see account information, e.g. credit card details captured in the desktop app, number, expiry date, etc.
- Ability to see some kind of budget status in the mobile app (how much do I have left for groceries this month, very useful on the go).

Desktop app:
- Ability to attach documentation/receipts by URL rather than only as a file (Google Drive document links, links to email in my Gmail, etc.)

Potential bug?
- One thing I've noticed as potential bug is that with multiple desktop apps syncing via Dropbox, large account changes (new accounts, renaming accounts, changing parent accounts, etc.) don't always seem to sync across very well. On more than one occasion I have needed to clear out the local files and repeat the process of pulling down from Dropbox onto a new computer to resolve the issue. Day to day transaction entry and other changes (including simple changes to accounts, new accounts, etc.) seem to work fine.

Related question:
- It isn't clear to me if resetting the local app and pulling down fresh from Dropbox is the only way to set up a new machine. I can imagine this process will take exponentially more time as I add more data into my books. Is it possible to start from a backup file then connect it into the sync, or will that always create a new set of books in Dropbox?
