I want to start by saying I've been a loyal Moneydance user for about 7 years now. I absolutely love the product and I can tell a lot of work has gone into it. That said, I have to say that the product feels a bit clunky and outdated now. I tried YNAB the other day (which in no way does the same thing) but something as simple as an OFX import is so simple, clean and intuitive with YNAB. E.g.it asks you if you'd like to omit the memo line of the OFX, it asks if you'd like to swap the memo and the Payee fields round (as some banks incorrectly do this). Also, transactions always feed into the right category on import. Whereas with MD it's a bit hit and miss.

Also - their mobile app is superb. You can do all sorts of things on it - whilst MDs app merely lets you enter transactions. I would gladly pay extra for a mobile app that is more functional and in touch with 2022. Something that ideally lets you do everything through the app, but at the very least lets you export reports etc and goes back further than just a few transactions. The only thing holding me to a laptop at the moment is MD.
