is there any intention of adding basic editing commands of undo/redo to MD?

   They are already there. Look at the edit menu. Std undo/redo keyboard shortcuts work on transactions.

   Not on my version 2021.1 for Mac.
   They are grayed out.
   Or do you mean a newer version?

   Nope. It works on that too.

   Try adding a txn and then clicking CMD-Z and it should disappear.

   If not, do the above and then send help/console.

   My bad, I should have been more specific.

   If you enter a number into a transaction, or accidentally delete a split, the only way back is to close the txn say "no" to save.
   Undo only works with a whole txn, not with in.
