register comments
As hinted in my previous suggestion, it would be nice to be able to have a transaction type of "comment" which would be a null-but-date-associated note in a register signifying such things as an accounting period close/receipt of monthly statement/etc. I do this with an ordinary transaction with a zero Xfr to my slush/reconciling account but these can sometimes be hard to pick out in the register.
Almost as good would be a way to colorize individual transactions, or perhaps, insert a horizontal bar for delimitation purposes.

In thinking about this, a more general approach might be to allow CSS control of individual transaction lines in the register, add foreground/background tags to the transaction detail, and colorize.
Direct edit of transaction details could be useful from time-to-time as well.
