Start Up Notification
It would be helpful that after selecting MD to open, a flash screen or Logo or something indicating the program is loading would be nice...

Previous responses to this suggestion have diverted focus by suggesting how to speed up MD loads. Let me suggest that, whilst somewhat helpful, it is a nonsense diversion from the very sensible suggestion.
Most capable apps provide a splash screen to confirm to the user that the program is, indeed, loading.
For instance, my own MD loads completely in about 15 seconds, which I find perfectly satisfactory in terms of wait time. What is NOT satisfactory is having to wait 15 seconds to discover whether or not I did successfully click on the icon or whether I am sitting for 15 seconds waiting on a mis-click that will never deliver!! THAT is poor form! I don't even see a throbber!!
Please @Sean, give this serious and urget consideration.

Mine takes 2 seconds to the password request. Introducing a splash screen before that would surely delay the launch;-)

Mine takes 8-10 secs, so splash screen would be good, otherwise no indication of activity.
