A number of my accounts (and presumably other users) have securities that are 'private' (not public ticker symbols). 401k's and 529's are the most notorious in my portfolio. Not trying to compare, just pointing out that it would seem the data is available to be used, Quicken downloaded prices for those private securities on the OFX connection attempt even if there were no transactions to download, thus keeping one's portfolio value up to date.

Requesting to add the feature to download security prices as part of the OFX connection if the security is in the account.
