A Way To Designate Total Cash Available
I have:
- bank accounts that are cash
- I have investment accounts that have both a cash & security component
- U.S. Treasury I-Bonds have to be kept for 1 yr before they can be redeemed. I have I-Bonds within that 1 year time period & I-Bonds that I have had more than 1 yr
It would be nice if there was a parameter that I could check, that would designate cash available accounts, so a total cash available total could be seen

just a user
Try downloading the extension "Custom Balances" - it allows you to pick and choose among your accounts/categories and profer a total on the summary page. I have one called "Available Cash" as well.
You can select each bank account, the cash only segment of each investment account, and the only hard part is you would have to manually select the I-Bonds that meet the 1year+ criteria, and add them in as 1 year passes on the not yet one year ones.
Custom balances can do all sorts of "custom" items like this one. Give it a shot.
