Two small irritating items

As a 25+ year user of Quicken I am so glad to move over to Money Dance. I can't say enough good things about it. I'm old school, love the interface and the overall performance is awesome!

I've been using MD for a couple years now, all of my data transferred seamlessly and I have transactions dating back to 1992.

With Money Dance my two pet peeves are:
1. Within my investment account a downloaded transaction is confirmed with a cntrl-enter. Works great, why can't we apply this to the credit card and bank accounts too?

2. The list box for categories in the Report module is too small! I have a lot of categories, many with sub accts, and it would be so much nicer to see a larger field of choices. The two lines that show up make it very difficult to know where you are in the list.

That's it. Two pet peeves. Thanks tp all the developers, it was so nice to find a replacement financial package that allowed me to dump the Quicken BS!

    Hi Gene,

With regards to item #2, you should be able to lengthen the overall height of the report parameters form by dragging down the lower margin. Doing so will enlarge the length of the Category selector field.

Thank you Kevin, That does help quite a bit. It act like a stretch and gives me about 14 lines on my monitor. Exactly what I was looking for. Honestly, I think I just assumed the pop-up was a fixed size and never attempted to adjust it. Cheers!

    Hi Gene,

You're welcome. I'm glad to hear that it worked. Thank you for reporting back with your results.

Regarding item #1, I could not address that issue yesterday as I had no transactions to confirm but this morning, I have one.

After highlighting it, I was able to successfully confirm the downloaded transaction in my checking account using CTRL-ENTER. I tried both ways; with the confirmation side bar docked and with it undocked - both allowed confirmation of the downloaded transaction using the requisite key-combo.

I am using Moneydance version 2023.2 (5007) in Windows 10 environment.

You are spot on! I am not sure if this feature was recently added or if I never attempted the key combo since there was no banner appearing on screen suggesting it. (I probably did try it, but not recently) I am running 2023.1 and both of your suggestions have been successful.
The people like yourself that contribute to forums are priceless, so much good comment, suggestions, improvements come from the feedback.
    Thanks again!
