Hi,
I'm a very happy Moneydance Personal Finance Program user, for over a decade now. My preferred platform is Linux and I'm pleased with this java application on that platform. There is one request I'd like to propose for the user interface:
There are three columns on the Home Screen:
Left Column: contains the selection and total balance of my Accounts - AND ITS WIDTH CAN BE ADJUSTED
Center Column: contains another selection/balance list of Accounts - BUT ITS WIDTH CAN NOT BE ADJUSTED
Right Column: displays Reminders, Calendar and Graphs/Reports List - ITS WIDTH CAN NOT BE ADJUSTED BUT GETS TRUNCATED IF THE APPLICATION WINDOW IS REDUCED!

My request is to make the center column (which is largely redundant) ADJUSTABLE, the capability currently exists and is available on the first column, PLEASE add a width adjuster in the status bar below it like you presently do for the first column.

Thanks a bunch,
Dennis Jefferson.

    This doesn't directly address your concern, but you can use Moneydance/Settings/Summary Page to pick and choose what you want to see in what you call "Center Column/Right Column" (in MD these are called Left Column/Right Column as the one you describe as Left is called the Sidebar)

    This may go quite a ways in seeing what you want to see in a way that works for you. (for example, I have Reminders in the "center column" at the top, which is exactly where I want them to be)

    Hey Dtd, Thank you very much. You are correct, this goes far in
    satisfying my request to control the Home (Summary) Page view for me.
    I'm enjoying my use of this application (which I generally love anyway)
    more now with this customization. Great.

    BTW: on the Linux platform the Summary Page Config settings are at -
    File->Preferences->Summary.

    I owe ya one dude.

    Moneydance 2024 has seen some changes to help ensure that long text string in the widgets are controlled to help ensure that the centre section is nor distorted when using two columns.

    Why you have the different handling of the side bar is because it is a separate object, so you are configuring the side bar relative to the body section. The body of the page can be configured as one or two columns, with two columns being the default, on some systems I had with lower resolutions I did find it better to configure it as one column and scroll down to view some items.
