Income less expenses Categories? Account Editing?
2024-0417 Macbook-Pro Sonoma OS=14.4.1 Moneydance=2024 (5117) Setting up Categories & editing Accounts?
A user should be able to setup a new data file for a new business, with an "EXPENSE" Category under an "INCOME" Category to properly reflect a Chart of Accounts/Categories to show a listing of P&L categories in order (Income less Expenses)?
When setting up a new data file-categories, the program will not let me setup a new category-Expense under a category-income?
I am having to use either ALL INCOME or ALL EXPENSE categorries for ALL the Business Entity's Income & Expense accounts when setting up the new data file for a new Business's Categories?
I know I'll get a P&L from the "REPORTS", but also when, printing/displaying ALL the Accounts with ALL the Categories for a new business?
Also...
1. When I setup a new data file's "Account". I cannot edit the type of Account it is, if I make a mistake (i.e. Credit Card vs Liability)?
I have to delete the mistaken account and then-set it up again, correctly?
These enhancements would be appreciated.
2. Moneydance's Account Setup Selection Menu should be that ...Credit Cards are like a "LOAN ACCOUNT" and there should be added an "EQUITY" (After Liability =7 Loan) designation for TYPE of Account setup, also.
Thanks, RM2426
