I'm not sure how to word it exactly, so I'll jump into an example: We have a large number of monthly transactions at Wal-mart. The majority are purchases, which I'm happy to mark as groceries, and there are a lower but still large number of returns. When I download transactions, MD defaults all Wal-mart transactions to either groceries or other income: refund depending, I think, on which transaction I last matched. It would be great if MD's auto matching could realize debits on the credit card are purchases at Wal-mart while credits are refunds and match them automatically. There are other stores where this comes into play, but WM is definitely at the top of our list when it comes to returning items.
