Numbers should use tabular figures when possible

Love the software. One change I'd like to see is for numbers to always use tabular figures when possible. Most modern font types include them, and they're the default for spreadsheet programs like Excel or Numbers. But Moneydance's numerical entries use proportional numbers, which means that decimal places don't line up correctly in columns.

The only current workaround that I've found is to use an entirely monospaced font. But those fonts are often less attractive and less well-suited to accounting ledgers.

Are you sure you havent changed the default preferences for appearance..? What are your MD appearance settings?

Yes, I have changed my preferences to use different fonts, and MD does not use the tabular figures from those font types.

I'm currently using Helvetica Neue for text, and Menlo (a monospace font) for numbers. If I switch the numerical fields to use Helvetica or a similar non-monospaced font, I get proportional figures.

What happens if you change back to MD defaults and restart MD?

Interesting. The default fonts use tabular figures, and after restoring them and then reselecting different fonts, I'm seeing that the custom fonts also do. I'm not sure what happened there, but my problem is indeed fixed. Thank you.
