Needs Copy/Paste
Greeitngs,
I would like to suggest that MoneyDance needs a Copy and Paste feature so that transactions can easily moved between accounts. This feature would be best if offered in a 'right-click' menu option. It is time consuming and slightly more difficult to use the batch option.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Philip,
I would be happy to create a suggestion ticket for this feature. However, I don't think this suggestion would be implemented because a copy/paste feature would require just as much input as using batch change.
Currently, you can highlight a transaction and right-click to view the context menu. Then select Batch Change > Account, and specify the account you want to move the transaction(s) into.
With the feature you're requesting, you'd highlight a transaction and right-click to view the context menu. Then select Copy. Then you'd open the other account, right-click and select Paste.
I don't see this process as being any quicker or requiring fewer clicks than when using Batch Change.
If I am misunderstanding the feature you are requesting, please provide more details.

Hello Jenny,
Thank you for your fast response to my suggestion. You are right about the right-click 'move' feature but and I use it when I want to move a transaction but that is not what the majority of my actions are needed for. I am asking for a 'copy' feature, where I need to place the transaction in both accounts. Now the only way I can find to do it is to duplicate the transaction in the account and then right click and 'batch' move the duplicated transaction to the other account. That is the multi-operation I would like to streamline.
Thank you,
Philip
