Hide Accounts
I like to keep historical data on old accounts, but do not want to see them on my home page. A menu option to list all accounts with the ability to hide or show accounts would be a very nice feature.

Hi Randal
Click on an account on the home page to bring up its transaction register. The select Accounts->"Edit account" There is an option that says "Do not show on home page (if balance is zero)".
Thanks for the suggestion. I am sorry if this current feature does not meet your needs.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

I found your other suggestion of putting an account with a non-zero balance inside of an account with a zero balance and then hide the parent, but that did not work. So I entered a fake transaction to make the balance zero. The ability to hide any account would be easy to implement and a nice feature.

Hi
I don't recall making a suggestion to put the account under a parent account with a zero balance. I don't think this would work as the parent accounts balance is the sum of all its children,
There is an existing ticket in our issue and suggestion tracking system for the feature you are suggesting. Here is the link:

If you register and log into trac you can vote on tickets. We use the number of votes a ticket gets to determine what to work on next.

Hi Randal
I checked in with Brian and I am afraid he was mistaken.
