Current List of Suggestions with Status
Be nice if this post (or a replacement by staff) could become a list of currently being considered, and worked on, suggestions. It could be locked to user comment and only updated by staff. It should include some brief status comment and the user vote for count. It should be kept at the top of the suggestions category.
It might help cut down on the number of repeat, or slight variations of, previous suggestions. And, the other list that you can vote on much less convenient.

There a literally thousands of suggestions. We manage them with our issue tracking system. Here is the link to the trac site:

I believe it would be impractical to maintain such a list in a discussion and in the trac site. You can vote on issues in the trac site and we use that vote to help us determine what to work on next.

Maybe you could list the top 25, or 50, whatever is manageable, or possible just those you are working on implementing at the present.
From what I have seen (over the last year), many suggestions seem to be variations of previous ones. It might cut down the count some.

We have a an in flux design document for MD2010 that lists the features that we are currently working on and those that we expect to get implemented for the MD2010 release. I'll check in with the developers and see how they feel about making that document public.
