This is basically a variation on another, older request:
https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/general-questions/27354-automated-split-transactions

I have transactions that are always split 50/50 between two categories and it would be awesome to be able to create some kind of macro, with a corresponding shortcut key combo to trigger it, that would turn a given transaction into a 50/50 split between the two categories (the categories do not change, only the transaction total changes).

I don't think there is currently a way to do this, but it would definitely save me time if something like this could be implemented someday (where we could customize the splits in order to create different versions of these macros with different proportions)!

    I’ve now supercharged this with

    Copy splits
    Paste splits
Apply template (from reminders) to splits
    Rebalance splits.

If anyone wants to play - email me

Wow, you are amazing and such a gift to the Moneydance community! So far in my initial testing the Apply Template functionality works fantastic and exactly how I would want -- this is going to save me and my partner SO much time!

Very grateful for you providing this, and I hope it will be useful to many others. I'll let you know if I run into any bugs, have any tweaks to suggest, etc.
