Position in register after clicking Split Register icon
I use the Split Register to review new downloaded bank transactions. After I click the split icon (whether to spit it or to unspilt it), the view of the register is pointed at the bottom of the list. Since I always have the register sorted in DEscending order by Date, this shows me the oldest register entries. This is never what I want; I have to hit Command-T to get to the top. I want to see the new entries merged into the recent activity, and often I want to duplicate a recent transaction and customize it.
I realize that users may want to sort the register in different ways, so it's a 50/50 chance whether they want the register positioned at the top or the bottom. If the register were sorted in Ascending order by date or something, the positioning at the bottom would be useful... but it's not useful when sorted in DEscending order.
Can you provide a setting to enable us to choose either the top or the bottom as our preference?
Better yet, don't reposition the register at all. Split Register could just split it in place. Unsplit Register could just fill the available space with transactions from the current view position.
Thank you.
