I love and have used MoneyDance for some time. Just recently been discovering features I can edit. Very nice. I would like to suggest the register have the ability to return to the most recent transaction you worked on prior to performing a register search or at least default to the current date in that register. For some reason it will bring you to the opposite end of the register spectrum when completing a search (older legacy dates). This is very aggravating for me. At minimal it would be nice if the registers default to the current date after performing a search or when initially opening the app. Another feature that would be awesome is have the ability to be warned and/or discover duplicate transactions.

    Hi Neil,

2 tips to return to the bottom of the register after a search...

    1) Highlight any txn then tap the 'End' key on your keyboard. (I'm not sure if Macs have an 'End' key)

    2) Click the 'Split Window' button twice. (the 'Split Window' button is to the right of the 'New Transaction' button)

I can't offer any help with duplicates.

On a Mac Function-left arrow will take you to the top of the register and Function-right arrow will take you to the bottom. Function-up or down arrow will take you up or down one page (screen).

Thank you for the information. I have an MX Logitec keyboard and it does have the end key, the Mac Pro does not. This will also be the first time using the fn key as well. It's on both, Thanks again.
