Tax dates should be optional

It would be great if we didn't have to turn on the Seperate Tax Dates feature in preferences when we just need to put a tax date on 1 transaction. This is a problem for me during this time of year because I can continue to contribute to my HSA for last year until tax day of this year. I would like those deposits to be recorded in '25 even though it wasn't made until a few months into '26.

It could be a menu item or a contextual item to let me enter the tax date of a single transaction.

Thanks

FYI - I have a 'fake' sub account called allocations, and for these 'one-off' events, I make two dummy txns that reverse the amount on the date in question, and enter the same amount in the correct (tax) date.. Then I can include/not include this 'fake' account and see\not see the tax adjustments...
