After using/testing many personal fince apps for mac, I think that Moneydance in general suits my needs best.

For me important features are:

multi currency use

handling of an international stock portfolio

customized reporting

stable and fast software

support and garanty for further devellopments.

Moneydance does this job quite well, I personally wish improvements in the investment section, more detailed information and reporting about your investments.

Example: In the portfolio overview I wish more information (columns) such as average cost/share, gain (not only % but also actual amount).

Stock prices on the homepage are all indicated in my basic currency (which is SwissFr), but I want to know the price in its individual currency how I bought it and how it is in the portfolio. I.e.: Apple traded 115.99 USD, on the front page it gives me the value in SFR 131.12. (see attached screen shot) the same happens with all stocks which are not in SFR, so this information is of little use. Of course in the individual portfolios all calculations and indications are correct.

Thanks for answer,

Peter

Peter, I think those are great suggestions and agree that investment accounts in general are an area we can give more attention to in future upgrades to Moneydance. Thanks very much for your thoughts. Regarding your specific request being able to view the price of Apple in the US dollar (or any currency other than your base currency for that matter), we will make that change in Moneydance 2009. Thank you for the request.
