Suggestions for improvement
I'm a mac user who came over to moneydance once Microsoft gave up support for MSMoney. I really like the product. I like its simplicity, its easy of use, its ability to drive off of raw xml. Thanks for the good work at a reasonable price.
I have some suggestions for future versions:
1) Remember categories. I download transactions automatically from
my credit cards and banks. Every time it defaults Publix (a local
grocery story) to the default cateogory, rather than remembering
the past 50 times I set the category to groceries. It does remember
within specific download batches, but it would be nice if it
remembers the next time I download transactions.
2) Search for categories using contains rather than starts with.
When typing category names I have to type "personal:groceries"
rather than just "groc" and then moneydance finding a match with
personal:groceries. Firefox started doing this for domain names a
while back and it's rather convenient.
3) Identify potential reminder entries. If I have a recurring
reminder from XYZ power every month and I download a transaction
from XYZ power near that date, moneydance should notice this and
suggest a match for the reminder.
That's it, just a few suggestions. Please keep up the good work guys.

Kudos to the Moneydance team for their excellent work.
