<p>I do not experience what you are describing. I jest created a
test transaction transferring $1 from checking to savings. I then
went into savings double clicked on the $1 transfer and edited the
value to $2. Everything worked as I would expect it to. Are you
experiencing something different. What account types are involved,
are you using splits? Please be as specific as you can such that I
can reproduce the problem and investigate its cause.</p>

<p>Ahh, you are correct you cannot edit the memo field from the
other side of a transaction. The memo is only stored in one place,
on the originating side of the transaction. While the description
is stored on both sides. (This allows splits to have different
descriptions for each part of the split). I am afraid we currently
have a feature freeze on the next release on moneydance but I'll
pass the suggestion on to the developer.</p>
