Allow Edit of Transfers from both sides
Hi,
I noticed that when you edit a transaction that is a transfer, you can only do so from the one side. It would be useful to be able to edit it from both sides. (After all it is the same transaction)
Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob
I do not experience what you are describing. I jest created a test transaction transferring $1 from checking to savings. I then went into savings double clicked on the $1 transfer and edited the value to $2. Everything worked as I would expect it to. Are you experiencing something different. What account types are involved, are you using splits? Please be as specific as you can such that I can reproduce the problem and investigate its cause.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

Are you also able to edit the memo field?
Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob
Ahh, you are correct you cannot edit the memo field from the other side of a transaction. The memo is only stored in one place, on the originating side of the transaction. While the description is stored on both sides. (This allows splits to have different descriptions for each part of the split). I am afraid we currently have a feature freeze on the next release on moneydance but I'll pass the suggestion on to the developer.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer
