Miscellaneous suggestions related to Reports

1. Reports and graphs should be available in the program menus. (Some of us tend to overlook icons, LOL.)

2. I would like the ability to minimize a report window.

3. I would like to be able to search for "untagged" transactions, i.e. "Filter by tag: --none--"

4. Printed reports could use page numbers and ability to configure font size.

5. Memorized reports should be at the top of the list instead of the bottom, in my opinion

6. When editing a memorized report, there should be an obvious "save changes" button, or at least when I go to memorize the modified report, the program should remember the name of the report I called up

7. Transaction report "Sort by account" behavior should be consistent. (If there are split transactions, it gives a subtotal for the split transactions regardless of category?!)

8. Transaction report should offer separate "Sort by Account" and "Sort by Category" options, instead of a confusing single "Sort by Account" option which sometimes sorts by category.

   Agreed. Good suggestions. If there were a ticket for this one, I'd vote for it.

   I have created a trac ticket for each of your suggestions. I know that the lead developer is making a number of enhancements to the reporting features for 2009 release. Here are the links, please vote to increase the priority of each suggestion:

   You can already do this: Select File->Preferences and click on the printing tab.
