Don't open new windows on transaction downloads

When Moneydance 2010 downloads online transactions or imports from a downloaded OFX file, each account with matching transactions opens a new window. This is not necessary, especially now that 2010 has the blue dot icon next to each account with downloaded transactions. MD 2008 did this on the OFX import, which also wasn't necessary, but now with the all account auto-download it's especially annoying - I just want to have the one window open. This is on build 723 on Ubuntu 9.04. Also sometimes the extra opened windows don't appear in the task bar, but I haven't figured out any consistency with that yet.

    Cecil,

f you are not using the most recent version (2010 build 730), please update to that version. You can download the update here. This update has resolved a few key issues our users have been experiencing. Please let me know if your issue persists and we will look into other solutions.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for your interest in Moneydance.

Just downloaded build 731 and the same issue exists. I don't know if opening new windows for each account with downloaded transactions is intentional or not. It's just an annoyance, I don't see that it's necessary.

Again this is on Ubuntu 9.04, Java Version: 1.6.0_0, MD build 731.

I like that MD opens the register windows of accounts that have downloaded transactions. It saves me having to find the accounts with new transactions when I don't have sidebar open, which is most of the time. Maybe it should be a user preference.

However, I would like to see the opened windows be staggered a bit in location so that it is obvious they are there. I always have to think to look in the Windows menu to check.
