Raymond James & ING Direct
I can download OFX statements directly from Raymond Jame's & ING Direct website. MS Money also supports connecting directly to to both these. Just wondering if RJ & ING were on the roadmap? Would love to add a connection to them.
Keep up the good work!

Ash,
Quicken and Money support two methods of accessing your accounts: direct connect and web connect. With web connect, they basically connect to your bank's website and download and import OFX files. Direct connect actually connects to a server at your bank instead of their website and usually requires different login credentials than you would use to log into your banks website. Moneydance only supports automatic connections through direct connect and not web connect. You can still download OFX files form your bank and import them, but there's currently no way to do this automatically from within Moneydance. This is certainly a function we a considering implementing for future versions of the program.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for your interest in Moneydance!

Angie - I can't download any of my account transactions from ING DIRECT into my MD (2010r3 - 751) accounts. I'm using OS X 10.6.4. I sign in to ING, go to an account, click download, select OFX (or QFX), fill in the dates and click Download. A file is downloaded to my Downloads. I try to import, but no data. I've successfully downloaded data from my credit union and retirement accounts. Can you help?

Cporter,
The first thing you should do when troubleshooting is to open the file using a text editor (such as Notepad) to make sure there is actually data in the file. The next piece would involve you sending an OFX (or QFX) file to us for diagnosis. We would hold your file securely and delete it as soon as we're finished with it. If there is data in the file and you're willing to send it to us for diagnosis, you can emali the file to [email blocked]. When sending, please also let us know what account type you are trying to import this information to- bank, investment, etc.
I'm sorry you're having problems, and I'll keep my eye open for your reply so we can (hopefully) clear this us quickly for you.

Angie - Thanks very much for your prompt reply. It's working. I think I forgot a step: When I tried to import, I just accepted the (bank) account # without selecting the actual account name. Thanks again for your help. Best - Cary
