French translation, Budget reports.

Hi
I have switched from Quicken to Moneydance . I gave up the idea of downloading Quicken data , I started from scratch ...2 days of hard work to enter my investment accounts , with historical values etc..I am French and I used the French version and frankly if I d'nt understand English and without my accounting background , I could not make it.
My suggestions 1- have a full and proper translation of an updated help menu.
2-Have a link to Morningstar France to download the stocks and mutual funds ( which are called SICAV in France and not mutual ! ) How can I change the " type " to change "mutual" to SICAV .
3- Have a full reporting for the budget , I could not get /or find an extension for the budget.We need a breakdown of the budget per month / actual etc..
I would not mind paying 10 or 15 $ more for a more " manicured " soft ... I understand you working hard on the it.
Once the load of work is behind , if you need really to enter the French speaking market ( France , Canada , Belgium , Switzerland and many African counties ) you need to work on the translation.

   No interest ? OK for the French translation...you have other priorities...
   1-What about changing the " type " is it possible ?
   2-For the budget, starting from scratch I have no historical figures to have the budget done by the system , so I enter for each line a proper estimated budget ..but how can I have a report showing me by month the budget , for total year etc..just like Quicken
   I could not find an extension to download ?
   3-You have new builds... how could we have the updated version ? Shall we wait until we have the final release?
   Answers for the above will be appreciated.

   I apologize for the delay in this reply to you. We are working to improve and complete our French translation. It is behind the English one but we are working on it.

   What do you mean by changing the type? Do you mean changing the type of account? It is possible but somewhat technical as it involves editing in XML. It is easier to simply copy and paste transactions from one account to another (if this is in fact what you meant).

   Once you have created a budget, you can view a budget report (in the column to the left of your register).

   You can download preview releases from here: http://moneydance.com/preview/ Or you can configure your updater to download preview releases by opening that extension (assuming you have it installed).

   "Type" I mean you have , shares, CD, Bonds etc.. What I would like is to "change " or "add " a new headings like :SICAV ( very popular investment in France ) similar to :Mutual Fund in the US.
   Budget : I have created several budget lines ( salary , dividend ... foods, rent etc... But what we need a monthly analysis per month : actual/budget just like what we had with Quicken as well as a yearly budgeted total ( for$100.000 ex: $100.000 income and $85.000 expenses which gives a budgeted $15.000 savings).
   Sorry to be long but we really need a proper manual.
   I am sure it is on the tunnel.

   If you have not already done so you can download the latest preview version fomr the following link:

   http://moneydance.com/trac/ticket/2685

   I am afraid there is no news on a French translation of the document.

   If you want to create your own type of security you can now specify. Other at the type and the click the '>' to the right of the sub type.

   In the new version you can specify to subtotal the budget report by month. See the attached screen shot for the budget report options.
