This, and a lot of other reporting suggestion/problems, could be handled by allowing a user to create their own Homepage top-level parent accounts (groupings with grand totals) and allowing them to make any MD account a child of any parent. Under many circumstances, one might even want to make a liability the child of an asset.
There really is no reason why an investment or bank or real property (MD asset type) or loan could not all be part of a user's retirement (for instance) top-level parent. I feel certain such a feature would be helpful to a large number (if not all) MD's users.
