Just downloaded the latest MD2010 build. I assume the intent of the sidebar is to provide a navigation aid accessible from any window/view. But since most users already show all accounts with balances on their home page, is it necessary to have the sidebar include balances on the same screen? They are taking up space on an increasingly crowded screen. My screen is far less roomy than the one shown in the Moneydance promotional screenshots. If I narrow the sidebar, the balances overwrite the account names. I know I can hide the whole sidebar, but could we add an option to hide balances?

I don't mind having the balances because I have a wide monitor, but I do object to having accounts with zero balances in the sidebar. The option to hide an account on the Home Page if the balance is zero should either include hiding on the Sidebar of there should be an additional option for this.

You can hide any account in the side bar whether it is zero or not, by selecting the account and hitting the large minus button at the bottom of the side bar. However, the account will not automatically reappear should the account move off of zero.

Many thanks, Bob. I guess there is still a lot about MD that I have yet to learn!
