TAX REPORTS, PLEASE - RESOLUTION?
I am new Moneydance user, having very easily transferred an existing, fairly elaborate Quicken 2009 file on my PC into Moneydance on a new iMac. (I was thrilled!)
Like others I need to be able to manage budgets, track investment portfolios and create accurate tax-related reports.
I wish categories could easily be flagged as tax-related and that there were pre-formatted reports as there are in Quicken.
I thought I could use tags to earmark tax-related expenses. I couldn't get them to work.
After some serious searching, the only solution I could find was to re-label tax-related categories with an addes notation like TAX so that they are easily identifiable when creating tax reports.
Where does this stand, said he, with April 15 looming?
Tad
P.S. I would like to be able to vote for suggested enhancements,
but cannot find a way to do so.

NOTE:
After writing this, I created a custom detained Income and Expense Report for 2009 that matched the report I produced in Quicken down to the penny.
All of my categories are either tax-related or not. So it was very easy.
As far as I am concerned, this meets my needs.
I'm very relieved.
My only wish would have been to sort the report by payee within a given category, but that is not the end of the world.
