Changing Amounts in Future Expenses/Income
I am an ex-MS Money user. There was a useful method by which
when you can change a particular future income/expense without
affecting the other in that category.
Example: My Electricity Bill is estimated at $100 per month and hence reflects in the Budget and Forecaster as such. Suppose I want to change next month's (only) to $125, in MS Money I could do it [it gave me a choice between "Edit Series" or "Edit Single Occurrence"] without affecting the other month's.
Do you have some edit function like that on Moneydance?
Thanks,
Joe

Such a facility does not exist in Moneydance. However when you click on a reminder in the reminder notifications window on the home page you can change the amount of the transaction before clicking the record button.
I am sorry if this does not meet your needs.

That is - at the point of entry and not as a future transaction, right?
If so, is this something that your software people can add into the program? It makes a huge difference especially in the budget forecast realm.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe,
I talked to the developers and they are working on added functionality to the budgeting features similar to what you suggest. It may not happen until 2011 release.
