Filter for "Last year"
Doing my taxes I just realized that it would be handy to have a button "Last Year" as well and not just "This Year". Can't think of many other reasons but for taxes it would help :)

Hi ktk,
The 'Transactions' report allows for a 'Last year' date range.

If that's the case, then just eliminate all the filters because they all can be accomplished using the "Transactions" report. A "last year" filter allows a quick look at each of the various accounts without having to set the variables in the "Transactions" report. Many years ago, a patient of mine who worked for Intuit told me about the "Quick Report" option in Quicken (before I switched) which does this and I found it incredibly useful.
In other words, I absolutely agree with ktk. Please add a "Last Year" filter button!!

ktk, Stewart,
You can create a Trac ticket to request to have this enhancement added to Moneydance. There's a link to the form on this page:
http://moneydance.com/trac/wiki/Moneydance2010Beta
If you haven't done so already, you will need to register first and then reply to an email to complete the registration

I've tried this, but the system is barring me from adding a request, saying I don't have the proper privileges even though I am registered.

Hi drsfg,
Check your junk mail inbox of the email address that you used to register for an automated email that you need to reply to in order to complete the registration process.
If you've already done so and successfully registered, then return to:
http://moneydance.com/trac/wiki/Moneydance2010Beta
Click on 'Login' and enter your credentials.
Once you're logged in you should be able to create a Trac ticket.
After you create the Trac ticket, don't forget to vote for it. A lot of people forget that step.

I'm logged in but still cannot create a Trac ticket.
The following warning is coming up on top in a yellow background box:
Warning: <acct_mgr.web_ui.MessageWrapper object at 0x1df0070>

You can access the last years transactions in the reports section. This is not a common use for the register and I doubt it would be added.
Our recent builds have added a lot of functionality to the reports selection to accomplish what you wish.
If you need the current build, please download it here: http://www.moneydance.com/other
