I would like to have the possibility to attach a document (like an invoice) to my transaction

   There has been a long standing request for this feature however it hasn't received very much user support or attention. Here is the link to the ticket:

   if you register and log into trac you can vote on ticket to show your support for them.

   I'll check in with the developers when we next meet to see how they feel about this issue.

   All we need is a field to record a file path - the file itself doesn't need to be embedded...

   Also - click on the link to open the attached file in its relevant program - DONE!

   Jack,

   This is a very useful work-around. Some of our users place the file path in the "memo" field of the transaction. I will encourage our developer to look into this option further
