What needs to happen to add support for automatically downloading transactions for other financial institutions? Other applications such as Mint.com and Quicken have support for my banks, but not MoneyDance. What gives?

JP, What banks are not currently supported by Moneydance that you would like to have us add? If the bank supports direct ofx connections, just ask us and we can have them added within a day or two. Brian Moneydance Support

Can Edward Jones investments be added? Their website is www.edwardjones.com?

HSBC and Zecco do not support direct OFX connections. You can, however, download files from their websites and import them.

Edward Jones Investments can be added. We will add them Thursday evening.

How do I tell if my bank supports direct OFX connections?

Is there anyway the download and import process can be simplified?
I don't enjoy logging in to my account, downloading my transactions, opening MD and importing and repeating the process for each account.
Could MD connect automatically (or prompt for a password) and download this information FOR me like Mint.com?

    JP,
Intuit has a site that lists whether institutions are available for web connections only (downloads from their website) or direct connections. We are exploring the possibility of integrating an internal browser (much as Quicken does for web connections) but with our cross platform support it is a more complicated undertaking.

Here is intuit's site for checking the status of your bank:

SITE REDACTED by support person Angie, site is not longer functional

Any bank at all that is listed here as available for "direct connect" we would be happy to add to our list of supported banks if it is not currently on our list.
